David Kessler

David Kessler is one of the world's foremost experts on grief and loss. His experience with thousands of people on the edge of life and death has taught him the secrets to living a happy and fulfilled life, even after life's tragedies. He is the author of seven books, including the bestselling book, Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief, as well as a new Finding Meaning Companion Workbook. His first book, The Needs of The Dying received praise from many including Saint Mother Teresa.

David's personal experience as a child witnessing a mass shooting while his mother was dying in a hospital helped him begin his journey. For most of his life, David has taught physicians, nurses, counselors, police, and first responders about the end of life, trauma, and grief. David's volunteer work includes being a founding member of Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness. He currently serves on the board of The Farrah Fawcett Foundation which provides cancer research, patient assistance, and prevention efforts.

His new online model of grief support, Tender Hearts, offers over twenty-five groups. Additionally, David leads one of the most respected Grief Educator Certification programs. He is the founder of Grief.com.

  • 9:00 AM Death of a spouse
  • 10:30 AM Death of a parent or child
  • 12:00 PM Death of those under 30
  • 1:30 PM Death from addiction or suicide


Each session will include a discussion led by David Kessler, followed by a Q&A. The sessions aim to address the unique aspects of different types of losses, offering practical advice and support to attendees. The goal is to provide a compassionate and understanding space for participants to explore their grief and find ways to cope with their emotions.
